This sites purpose is to provide you with information about Shambala Retreat, situated in the beautiful Mountain Village near Serón, in Almeria, Southern Spain.

Shambala Retreat is a fully refurbished 110 year old Spanish Cortijo, nestled in the “Sierra de Los Filabres” Mountain Range in its own 2.5 acres of land.  Being primarily a farming community our lands are mainly arable offering Olives, Almonds & Grapes as the norm. 

Hidden away in the tranquil mountains of Spain lies Serón, and nestled in her arms lies Shambala.  Whether you are looking for that long needed holiday break, or are looking to buy a home out here, what better way to see Andalucía other than by living & experiencing it?

We are now offering accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis with an optional evening meal by arrangement.

Our Cortijo offers spectacular views of the Mountains around us and also offers the following accommodation open all year round.
  • 1 x double room @ £30.00 based on two people sharing a double room
  • Price to include continental breakfast
  • Tea & Coffee making facilities in your room
  • Daily Bed making service
  • Towels
  • Full use of 2 x Bathroom’s comprising of good showers and a corner bath in one (these are shared by our family as well)
  • Cooked breakfast can be arranged at an extra cost

We also offer the following services which, unless specified, are Free of Charge.

  • Mountain Bikes are available for hire at just -   £3.00 per day per person
  • Mountain Walks/Rambling
  • (A packed lunch can be provided at small charge)
  • Stargazing (A Fabulous Night Sky) use of telescope provided
  • Bird Watching (Many breeds including Owls, Buzzards, Hawks, Eagles, Bee Eaters & More…

A Car is really essential here in Spain, however if you wish to come and just chill out, we can make arrangements to collect you from the local airports*
